Dude!

You just bought $5000 modeling software, so you should be making us vampires.

You should be able to make a better one than I can with my $60 programs.

I'll tell you what....

Since you don't like your new program, just give it to me.
Then, I will make you a whole coven of sanguinarians.

I was only kidding...I'm not really trying to hustle you out of your software.

But the truth is...you could make your money back with that program if you use it

Quote: "im not good at modeling"

Then get good.
Modeling is like chess, or pool, or programming, or anything else that requires skill.... it takes practice.
The more you do it, the better you will get.
And if you do not like modeling, then I have to ask...
Why did you buy top of the line $5000 modeling software?

I was kidding before, but if you are over 18 and do want to get rid of it then I would be willing to work out a deal.
I was impressed by the product after visiting their website. (does the license allow transfers?)

You should really use it awhile before deciding to get rid of it.
After awhile you will get comfortable with its interface and then you will like to model.

Why don't you check out MakeHuman.

That will give you good base characters to play around with modifying.
Just remember you will need to reduce the poly count before trying to use it in FPSC.

Holy crap, you are one fortunate kid! I didn't have that kind of money when I was your age. You've got a powerful piece of software that not many here could afford - do yourself a favor and LEARN TO USE IT! You will love it...

He obviously didn't pay for it, if he had paid for it, it's likely he wouldn't keep telling us how expensive it was (it's a psychological response known as over compensation). No ** year old kid in their right mind would actually PAY for professional software.

Personally, if someone gave me $5000 right now, it'd get placed in the highest interest savings account I could get my hands on. Hell, if I didn't already have 3ds max, I would be using blender anyway.

Bottom line if you want free character you will have to settle for the ones people make, make your own, or retexture a character to suit your needs.

I have no idea why you would buy an expensive piece of software and not use it, if I were you I would return it and get my money. If you don't know how to use it you should at least start reading up on it and making some simple things, before you know it you will be making something more advanced like a vampire. Nobody wants to help after they hear you have the software needed to make what you have requested.

Yeah, it's like asking your broke friends to drive you around town because you don't have any money for gas after buying your Lamborghini.

I get so many emails along these same lines. "How do I do this or that in Max?." Then I'll recommend a $40 book that helped me learn, and I'll get a response like, "But I don't have any money, lol." And I'm thinking, you could afford $3500 for the program, but you can't afford a $40 book?!

Haha this is one thread ey!?!?
Well dude, could you tell me what you were thinking when you bought the product?

Did you know that you would have NO clue on how to use it?!?

Or did you think it was going to be a peace of cake... if that is the case, then I recomend you go search for some hints and tips, on the internet or watever, Cuz I would be having a fit right now if I had spent that much money on a modeling software, and found out that I was not able to use it...

Well I have some game creating to do, let me know when you wanna give me a free model .

Those no point continuing with being disingenuous. He won't have paid for it, and I would say that's an almost certain fact. The lesson here is keep your head down when you have something to hide. It's quite likely that most of the kids on here haven't honestly procured all the software they use. But if they want to shout about how much they paid for their awesome software, that's fine by me .

Dude, you need to post a picure or a link one.
Not everybody has that game.

I'll try to find a picture of the Vampire you are talking about.
I think I can make a layer for the thug for a vampire if you don't mean like with a cape or something.

Awesome!

When you pay that much for software expect to get a manual and tutorials on every aspect of its use, not to mention full online support and an active forum.

Quote: "@everyone stop using this thread as a place to criticise my modeling and programs i made a thread before this one about modeling programs"

Its your thread and you can request that folks stop talking about your sofware (I dont however see anyone criticising your modeling abilities, since you have nothing to show) but its a public forum and people will find the whole idea of paying so much money for something you seem to have no intention of learning on your own unbelievable, you brought it up in the first place so expect some response.

@Replay the Master of Time- I did not want to reply to this thread, but I felt the need to. If you own an expensive program please do us all a favor and learn it.

Next, if you are seriously interested in getting a vampire 3d character, I can give you an email address to a guy who is a whiz for modeling 3d characters at dirt cheap prices. Email me with the header of this topic if you want me to send you his email.

Thats too true! You get a whole load of tutorials, FAQ's and i guess you can also check it on their website.

I understand the fact you mind that people are discussing in your thread.
About if you got it legally or not.
Cause maybe you do got it legally and maybe you didnt.
But you do have to see it from our position.

Quote: ""That is why they don't have the $40.

I think not! If people buy these sorts of software for these prices.
They have to make sure what they are dealing with.
And accept to pay another 40 or 60 or whatever it is for a training book.

I still don't get why one would pay for such a thing when you can just get Blender. I'd be using it if I wasn't tied into Max before it became good (it was kind of clunky and difficult to use, whereas Max's user interface is by far the best and easiest to use).

But since you're stuck with it, start learning. Come back in at least 3 years when you can consider yourself a 'trainee'. Expert takes maybe 10 years. I've bit at it this whole modelling malarky for 5 years and to be frank, I suck relative to the best modellers.

I cannot find a single image of him from that particular game.
I found several mentions of him but no pictures.

They were trying to do you a favor.
You might understand when you are older.

Quote: "@conjured i don't know how old you think i am but "

I still don't know how old you are and I do not care.
The only reason I mentioned your age was that you would need to be at least 18 to sell me that software.
If you are not 18 then that is fine by me, but I never wanted to know how old you are, just if you are over 18.
So, now that we know that you are under 18, just forget the whole age/selling the software thingy.

Good Luck
