??? What are you talking about ???

We are past the deadline for entries, so the focus at this point should be judging.
Frankly, I thought that would have taken place by now, but since one judge has made his picks then I will go with that.
However there was a deadline and two of the winning entries did not have their upload (which is the entry) in on time.
This was a model competition not a screenshot competition, so the models should have been in before the deadline.
However, I can see giving such wonderful entries a short extension since they worked so hard on their entries up to the last minute.

So, the way I see it is this...

Quote: "And the placing...

1ST - X Games
2ND - Strelok
3RD - SamHH
4TH - Encrypto Studios
5TH - Aaagreen
6TH - veltro
6TH - knxrb"

I agree with the order, but I'm considering the deadline.

So, I am offering a consolation prize to SamHH equal to the prize that I still have waiting for the official winner.
This is because I feel that he should be rewarded for having his winning entry (top 3) submitted before the original deadline.

Nice job everyone on your entries, and congrats to those who won/win.
I look forward to the next model competition, and I hope we see more work from these contestants.

Edit
@SamHH
Can I use the same email that is in your profile to send your prize via PayPal?

@X Games & Strelok
I really liked both of your entries and while the trash can is my personal favorite because it is so morbid, I had to score it less that the phone booth.
The reason being is that the phone booth is not limited to horror/sci-fi like the trashcan with an alien arm.
This makes the phone booth a more valuable asset because of its reuse factor over a variety of genres.
I know I'm not a judge, but I just wanted to offer that as feedback since it was so hard for me to decide which one I thought should rank higher.
Both of the models are really great, and they are very nice contributions to the community like all of the other entries.

Thanks Guys!

@CE: Judging is the top priority, however there needs to be a nice selection of prizes for the effort the people put in the comp.

@Robert: Your judging will be the final judging. I'll then leave it to you as judges to decide the winner.

@TFCR: Prize added.

As long as you keep the upload path private, only tell the wanter of the pack and delete it after they've downloaded.

Not even then I guess.

@TFPCR

You should have contacted Rick, then he will be able to transfer the pack in some way. Even if you bought another Mp5 you still have the pack left (even if you now have 2), and thats how piracy work. I am sorry I know you want to be kind.

Send Rick or Lee an email and at least ask if you may put it up for download for the winner. Just to be safe.

(Don't take it too personal, I just want to help)

Yes, it is very generous. Just get him to remove the download from your order history and transfer it to the person who wins, so they can download it. That seems like it may work.

if so, that is REALY stupid. just call it as giving his mate a gift of sorts

that's not the problem , he bought it that means that the download is on his TGC account.
If he want to give the pack to his friend , he need to send him the rar file or give him his account information.

Just because I gave it to a friend it doesn't mean I pirated! Just like you give a game to a friend. You still bought it or if you got a birthday present and got lego, does that mean your friend or family member stole it??? Pirating only means you stole it.

The Fps Creator rocks!

Let me just put in my two cents...

1. Google search "Rapidshare search" or "Megaupload search".
2. Google search "Winzip password cracker" or "Winrar password cracker".
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just for the future, remember that anything you upload online, even if "private", can be downloaded by anyone...

I did not use winzip or winrar! It is a 7z and it has a password. And I uploaded it to MediaFire. It is 7z. I didn't even see one single 7zip password cracker. Just because you see Winzip Password Crackers or Winrar Password crackers, doesn't mean it will work for 7zip. ALso, those are Zip and Rar files. I used 7z format.

I can't texture. I'm not an artist.

I agree with The Fps Creator rocks. Just because you see so called, "Winzip Password Crackers or Winrar Password Crackers" doesn't mean it will work for 7Zip.
Example: If my dad has Doom 3, and he let's me borrow it, I wouldn't because it would be stealing, or so called "Pirating"? That is REALLY stupid.

Here, think of it like this. If you like giving so much stuff away. Why not give it to me? I highly, highly, highly, HIGHLY doubt that you gave it to your friend, deleted it on your pc and deleted your account on tgc that you bought it from. You CAN'T just give something away. If you bought it for yourself, then its for yourself. If you buy it as a gift, then you cannot put it on your computer and then give it away. Yes it does happen all the time, I have probably done it alot to. But it is illegal.

Oh, and I REALLY doubt that you just bought Model Pack 5 and "gave" it to your friend.

It would be if you installed it and then gave it back but kept it on your computer. A copy of something is only good for "ONE" pc. You may NOT install it on multiple pc's.

My dad said installing on multiple pcs is called sharing. No one uses the word "sharing" anymore. You just want people to keep buying software right? Like I have to buy Dark Basic with $39.99 and then I have to spend another $39.99 for another Dark Basic just to give it to my brother? WTF?

You better read the book before handing in the report! That link isn't even about 7z password crackers. Click it yourself and I will prove it! See a screenie! That is a Windows Password Cracker, not a 7z password cracker! Click on the link you just said there was a 7z password cracker

Dude! Shut up! No one cares, you already revoked your prize and have revoked your respect long before these posts!

Please, if you have no more positive input on this contest, leave this thread immediately The Fps Creator rocks!!

Oh, and I'm sick and mad, so I cannot resist!
Quote: "My dad said installing on multiple pcs is called sharing. No one uses the word "sharing" anymore. You just want people to keep buying software right? Oh, your dad?! That makes everything right, doesn't it? Well how about you trust pros and indie developers that have certainly been around the block enough to know what's right and what's not. By uploading something to a web server, YOU ARE GIVING THE SOFTWARE TO THE WEB SERVER. Say if I bought 2 copies of FPSC and uploaded one to FileFront, it's theirs now. Not only that, uploading to a web server is easily hacked and anyone with Google could find it, password or not.

"Sharing" is something you do with an object that you have ENTIRE rights to, like some candy you bought. Or an iPod, so long as you approved the sharing. Now, the same does not apply for something that still BELONGS to somebody. When you go to Best Buy and buy something, that receipt says you can do whatever except duplicate, etc. When you buy a MP it CLEARLY states that IT IS ONLY YOURS!!! You can't "share" with an item that doesn't allow you to share by the law.

[/end rant]

So, Aaagreen, what're the final standings?

Stop trusting your dad, listen to someone else, like someone who works at Ubisoft or someone like Lee Bamber for questions. IF you had or have a question for your dad, you shouldn't ask him because he is always wrong right? A$$hole.
Look at the quote above. If you don't like your dad, run away from your family so you have no dad, ask someone at Future shop for questions.

DB is different, I believe. You can have it installed on as many computers as you want, but it can only be ran on one at a time. So this means it can be on your laptop and desktop, but you can't have the DB on your laptop and desktop running at the same time.

I think.

This thread has been locked for the following reason: It's gone so far off topic it's not funny anymore. I've contacted TGC to get the 'official' standpoint on sharing model packs and will post it here when I receive a reply.

AUP Section 3.17 ...Moderators shall, at their discretion, determine what constitutes a violation of theses terms, along with generally accepted nettiqute standards, and can take action against those who violate these rules.

Here is Lee's reply.

Quote: "If the customer who has bought two model packs, and wishes to pass one of them onto a friend, understands that they will only have a single license to the model pack once they have transferred ownership, then that is fine. No different than if that user deliberately bought the model pack for a friend who might not have internet connection. It is also important to understand that if the customer then gives their own copy away, then they have no further rights under the end user license and they must destroy all the assets from their PC and any backups that have been made.

Best Regards,
Lee."
