This is a heads up to anyone else who has been having problems with saving files, running test games, or even building your fpscreator level.
Basically FPSCreator started taking over two minutes to even start one of those functions. It drove me crazy and it made using fpscreator virtually impossible.
After several months of troubleshooting with MS, the game creators, and my own trial and error testing, nothing could be found that was causing the problem. Today, as a last ditch test, I turned off the real time virus protection on my dlink securespot,..and wham, problem solved. I have no idea why securespot suddenly took a disliking to fpscreator,..either one of their upgrades or one of fpscreator upgrades did it. So if anyone else has this problem,..turn off your real time virus protection on the dlink securespot.
Also, after upgrading to Windows XP SP3, my copy of 3D World Studio stopped working. I uninstalled SP3 and,..its working again.
I hope this helps someone sometime.
