alrighty, i started trying to learn DBPro, and was trying out a simple program that would let you pick what style of font you wanted and then print it.

however i seem to have done something wrong with my if...endif statements

albiet, yes it isnt complete for what i wanted it to do, i had deleted the rest trying to fix this...>.>

doh, yup that was it. Thanks!

im so used to Visual Basic, the transition is a bit...difficult. (going from a sort of OOP, to sequential, is hard enough, not to mention the little syntax changes.)

You might prefer DarkGDK or DarkGDK.net if that is your usual preference. Same language, but using C++ / vb.net / c#.net syntax.

aye
hmm.... so i could just do everything i can in DBP, but in the C++/vb/c# eviroment?

if so, sounds really good to me

edit: wait, could i also use it to create commercial games? i read that it said, Royalty Free liscense (for personal use), this slightly confused me.

You can buy a commercial license to cover DGDK and DGDK.net for $50. For just one or the other it's less.
