since i have started modelling i have given everything i make away for free,i am now looking to make some money out of my hard work,i was just wondering what you would be willing to pay for a pack of static models (scenery) or a pack of decals,

Depends on the quality.
I mean it could be a pack with 10 astonishing scenery models.
Or a model with 100 "ugly" looking models.

Than i would rather pay €10,- for the quality models than for the other.

Also if it is a pack with mostly crates or simple mesh models.
Than i have the idea that i could make them myself.
But! If it is a pack with more detailed models like:
Buildings, vehicles, statues, temple stuff etc.
Or something unique. Than you could charge more for it.

Same goes with dynamic objects! If its just a static model nothing special about it.
Except that its looking good. Than i think you could charge €10,- for it.
But! If they are dynamic objects with animations and maybe a special script etc.
Even though they are the same objects but this time they have anims.
Than i think you could charge more for it.

Hope this helped.

I guess so, maybe show a pic of at least one of the models and we could decide a more accurate price.
But £2 would probably work.

this is the quality i was working at a few months ago:
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=137184&b=24

i had to scrap the project because i had to format my harddrive :sS
but i can do alot better if i put some more time and effort into it.

this is an admin skin i made for counterstrike source:
http://www.adamwebb.org/kasperskin.html
but im guessing this is how it is done in fpsc aswell

It's hard to tell because there is a world of difference between the textures you were doing a few months ago (tables) and the adam skin. I don't think I've ever seen so much improvement in so short a period of time. If you really want to get an idea of peoples interest and what your work might be worth, then show a few current objects with great textures like the adam skin.

I'm afraid anyone who looks at the two references you provided will conclude that they were not made by the same person. Please show more current work.

Best.

He's just added the text on, as it is almost completely unchanged from the original

Oh. LOL I guess if I ever played Counter-Strike I would know that. I thought he meant that he made the texture.

Best.

EDIT: In that case, if it were me, I would practice for a while longer before I thought about selling anything. It's just that there is really great content available for free, and you and I have not yet reached that level of greatness. It's just the nature of the beast.

Best.
