Yeah arrow, you're right (Evangelion hehe), and Freak - its you're opinion, it may suck to you, you may think theres alot better, but personally, it's my favorite, then again, I like how deep it is.

I just remembered a non-anime animation that aslo deals with some serious mental stuff. 'The Maxx', it was on Mtv a long time ago, when they showcased decent animation (a.k.a. not Bevis & Butthead). It has, in my opinion, one of the best storylines and animation style I've seen outside of Japan. Real next level stuff, it's one of those things that makes you question reality. God, I love questioning reality.
