Hey all ,

I'm currently working on a new character and I need a custom script for it but the problem is that I (almost) don't know anything about scripting.

What I want is that the character will stay at one position and play his stand animation .
And when the play kills is its just play the death animation. That's all , I don't want him to attack me or do anything else.

I hope that anyone could help me out with this .

Best

Just use the default.fpi if you want static behavior.

The "passive.fpi" will work as well and will provide head animation looking from side to side as if it were a guard or something. This is only if you want the side to side head movement as it stands still. I've used the default.fpi a lot as well. Just depends on what you want out of the entity while it stands still.

hmm , yes I see..

Well I have 2 custom animations in my FPE , How do I activate them in the script ? Because the passive.fpi says " rotateheadrandom=65 "

Do I need to add a line of animation:2 ? or somethings like that ?

FPE

anim1 = 1,23 ; stand
anim2 = 24,49 ; die

sorry for a dubbel post but the stand animation work now with this.

But when the characters dies , its stop at the last frame.
Do I have to add a other line ? or does this work with other script ?

Quote: "animate=23"

23?

This is a custom character with only 2 animations.

Wouldn't that 23 need to be 2?

Wouldn't you put the death animation in the entity's destroy script? The main scrit is automaticall exitted from whent he entit dies and their destroy script is executed, so putting the animation in there will make them play it when they die.
