Ok guys, Ive read up and aquired the appropriate software to do this. I have an H&K G36k model and I need to know what size/scal to put it at for FPSC.

I only have the weapon model so far, no animations yet or textures. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Here is a screenshot...

The model looks good but I'm not sure about the rounds in the magazine. They look very high poly and could affect performance in FPSC. I would get rid of that part of the model and instead texture the magazine so the bullets are part of the texture. As for getting the weapon in FPSC I made a tutorial ages ago that should be of some use.

And here's the thread.

Nice model. I also like to see that you're using 3D Studio Max 2009, software that costs thousands, how do you do it?

Just kidding...

Anyway, I like the look of that G36K, any possible chance of making a drum magazine LMG version?

Living Pixels, at 86,616 polies, FPSC would probably throw up. I suggest 2000-3000 max for a weapon model.

Also, why is it necessary to have a full clip of bullets? Nobody can see them anyway...not to mention the only gun I know of that has a plastic side to show the bullets is the XM8.

My god 86 thousand?

I think that would kill FPSC, and slap Rick

I say that 4,000 polies is an appropriate number.

Even 4000 is starting to push it...

Did you even model this? But anyway, it is too high poly for fpsc. The gun should only be about 2000 and the hand 2000.

why would you ask this? what would even make you say that?

@Living Pixels, that's a great model, but way too high poly for FPSC. The bullets in the magazine are unneeded as people have said already. If you want to get the gun into FPSC, you'll need to export to .X. There are great tutorials, such as the one opposing force posted.

Good luck
