Okay, here's where I am so far, I neec help making a car-rpg kind of game, where you steal cars, the problem I encounter is how to make different sections of a car, wheels, bumper, glass, function as a whole until it gets damaged. How would I do that, it is really confusing for me. It will have more realistic damage then GTA Vice City because parts will fall off. If anyone can help me out here I would gladly appreciate it, thanks in advance.

Well, you would most likly use a single shape for the totaled version of the car, then you might consider adding limbs to it so they can be hidden or changed to make it appears as though the parts are gone. and if you want it to look like the parts of the car are flying off of it just create a duplicate object from the same file and position it in the place where it came off then the in-game physics routine can be use to make it bouce around or give it a shattering particle effect.

thanks, i'll make the limbs, when I learn to add them, and bounce them around when they hit something, thanks alot, the game design has been on hold all day because of this little error and I couldn't come-up with an solution thatr seemed reasonable.

Vivi728 - I would suggest changing your name to avoid confusion - the early bird gets the username.
