hello i am making my first *proper* model pack

it is bassed on the desert towns.

here is the first model i have made for the pack

its a building, you go in through the arch and behind there is a stair case to the roof (i made this 1 to be for snipering, good for multi player levels)

if theyre all good at the end i'll sell them (cheeply tho) but if average - low quality i will give away for free

They do, specially the second. The first texture IMHO is more suitable for ground, rocks, terrain rather then walls.

Remember also to texture the inner side if the arch, may be I'm wrong but it seems not or badly textured.

Nice. Did you consider also using sand colored stone bricks?

One question about your first model: did you create the arch/tunnel with entity maker or AC3D?

If you are interested I can show you how to do that in AC3D.

Sure it will add poly, the dome is about 600 polys. It was obtained revolving 2 concentric quarter of circle (each counting 6 segment)

If you do not need th inner part poly number is about 300.

It depends on how many poly has your model w/o the dome

Looking good.

Maybe make the first building doorway more doorway shaped like the attached pic.

How about houses you can walk up(stairs or ramp) onto the first floor so a user can snipe or hide in multiplayer games?

Is it possible for you to do a desert cave tunnel thing as well?

Pretty nice but!
I would add some details to the texture itself.
Right now its just a solid texture without any depth in it.

Maybe add some windows. Doors, dirt, scratches, ? grafitti?(there are some "famous" graffiti found on the net in those areas, about piece and war)
Also try to make some diversity in the texture.
Some different materials, the yard walls bigger maybe concrete blocks.
And the house itself the same texture it uses now.
