Hm... has anyone tried? Or maybe just a scroll? A normal skybox and an additional layer with scroll (clouds passing by).

i think someone made a cloud model then used waypoints... I dont remember where though. Animated skyboxs are possible, but would pry slow the game down. A lot. You would have to make a cube, give it textures and animate it, and make it an entity.

Doesn't impact performance particularly. Any lag in the video is because I recorded on an older machine which didn't like fraps too much.

There is one thing you could try...I've experimented with it a bit, but not much. It's called "SKYSCROLL=X". It allows for a texture to scroll across the sky. It's fairly unknown to FPS users, I believe.

Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do with it. You cannot decide what direction/speed it scrolls in, but it's better than nothing. Perhaps in a future update...
