Thanks, I am now working on scripting some really neat addons to it.

1. When the player takes damage, the damage hud stays for a couple seconds than fades.

2. I'm going to test a little idea, and if it works Ill share...

EDIT:It works. When the player is under seige by an ENEMY, the Hud changes revealing animated stuff. I'll post a screen when I feel its good enough looking.

I prefer the original. I don't like the helmet outline. I've never really liked it in games to be honest. I always feel that they detach the player from the character which sorta defeats the purpose of an FPS. The exception would be Halo I think but it had a very subtle helmet HUD that was hardly noticable.

my taste in music isn't weird, its just so amazing your ears haven't quite adapted to it yet.

Since the character is in a suit, maybe it could act like the HEV suit from half life in some ways. It is possible to make the player make a sound when health has been depleted (or at least it does in X10) Great job with the lighting and other effects. I am so going to get this when it's done.

With these isolated expiriments, we are not only expanding our knowledge on time, we are starting to harness it's potential. Head Reasercher before Expiriment No 52

Thank you all for your comments.

I think I'm somewhat happy of my HUD, but I am still debating how I want my "weapon" HUD to be...

indeed lol

PS: Your Motion Tracker? How does it works? Does it really works like: when a enemy is ex: 300 units from you.. it starts showing a red dot?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time with motivation. I've played "Beyond Life" about 4 times today, and watched "Alien 2" twice yesterday, but I'm just not happy with the look of my levels.

Dont be discouraged. This is probably the best lookin game i have ever seen made with fpsc.
btw what i was talking about earlier (the six hours thing) was that some1 wanted him to give away the hud he took six hours making

I am quite a happy camper simply looking at your screenshots.

I would really like to demo this game if at all possible. Even if you remove all of the enemies and just make it one big long walk, I would be happy just to roam around a level that's actually interesting to look at.

Hi,

As a group, we have decided that The Chronicles of Rodrick will not be shared\sold until next year, when it is released, and\or we program a way to stop people from taking and using our scripts\huds\models\textures\sounds\music, so we can release a small demo before the summer of 2010

Thank you all for the support,
and good luck on your own games\projects.

MODS PLEASE LOCK

Hi,

No, we plan to post a demo sometime before next year, (when it is planned to be sold). In able to do that, our team must program a program to stop people from accessing the "files" folder apart of every FPSC game.

Theirs a program called phoenix sentry thats was made for fpsc that protects content by encrypting it.

I've heard about it, but I never did try it. It's worth a shot, though.

Best of luck with the rest of the game, I'm looking forward to playing it!

Indeed.

Also, Slicer, what version of FPSC are you using, if you are using the latest then you have nothing to fear, because it automatically compresses all textures to a bin or dbo file.

We are using Official version 1.15 Beta

We will not be using the Vishnu program, as it only works on a couple computers of ours, and crashs on others. We are mainly concerned about our scripts...

If everything works out, and the game is being made on schedule, then we will release a demo soon enough.

Yeah, AS, you don't need to worry about media being stolen, as it all gets compressed when the game is built.

Actually, it's much much more than I am worried about people stealing textures, models, ect.

I dont feel the game is worthy to share with a demo yet. The graphics, as you can see, just dont work out. Until, I, myself am satisfied with its look, there will not be a release of any such demo/game.

have a nice day.

Hey,

this is REALLY old.

And no, im not concerned.

But, i have been working on a New** game now for about 7 months, its coming soon, and i think you guys will be pretty damn impressed.

Its a scifi game, and NO. its not this.

This game was a scifi game about a man, and his fathers friend that goes on adventures. nothing to do with those movies.
