i have used Dark basic an my school and i would like to use in at home. so I am courious if there will be a mac port of darkbasic in the near future. javascript:smiley('8-%7C')

I doubt it mate. use virtual pc 6 if you need to emulate it, you will need a monster mac tho to not see any performance issues when it comes to a game.


the language METAL is a freeware version of DB in 2d for the mac
the language TNTbasic is a commercial version of DB for the mac
the language PureBasic is another one to choose from but more expensive.

PureBasic doesn't work on Mac indi... Windows/Linux/AmigaOS
odd combination i know - it should cover Mac's unfortunately doesn't

i'd suggest getting the parts for a cheap barebones system, best to use Windows when using the programming BASICs around - as they have alot more support for them.
I hope some future products will bridge the grap of cross-platform development, but i'm not gonna hold my breath.

dam your right, you would have to emulate it or configure the linux version for OSX usage or install an amiga OS to run it.

i dont like macs...who owns a mac...the mac killed my inner child...if u wanna program a game the only real platform is PC(comp wise mind u)...

mrtatoad most mac 3d dev is left on your own shoulders as it abridges opengl or your own 3d engine.
