hi everyone I been trying to make a melee weapon it's all animated and in game but I can't seem to find a way to shorten range in the gun script I looked all around the forum without success any suggestions?

In gunspec.txt add (if not present) a function call named:

range = X

The value for X should be between 60 and 120 for most melee weapons. 100 is equal to one segment. 60 is about the shortest value you can use to actually hit stuff in front of you but not be able to look down and hit the floor without crouching.
