Can Fps Creator X10 run on Windows 7 beta? I am gonna get the beta and have a check to see if I can run it on Windows 7.

I enjoy making games but I like searching for artifacts more.

Windows 7 is built on the same core system as XP so if it runs on XP then it has a 95% chance of running on Windows 7.
Vista however was not built on the same core system and it was redesigned to allow the aero glass effects etc..

100% WRONG it is built on the code base of the vista system actually. Programs made for XP are less likely to work on windows 7 than ones that where made for Vista.

Actually it was made on a new code base to add security features not the styles they couldn't add UAC into the XP code easily so they started fresh and windows 7 has aero as well so that contradicts what you said before.

Why?? they are two totally different programs with different code bases.

I dont think so to make X9 work you have to disable UAC and run as admin dont need to do any of that when running X10

You have to do one or the other, but not both.

Doesn't the beta have a time limit on it though?

Don't really fancy getting everything setup if I'm going to have to reinstall Vista when the beta expires.

Huh, I found that there is some sort of patch to stop this though. It has seem to have spread like a wildfire on the web.

Idk, I dont use it, i patched it on my own (hours in Regedit), and also stopped auto updates. My motto, if it works, dont fix it.
