How does a player leave a trail?

hmm, im not sure, to be honest its probably if the player is trailing an entity.

Since you joined 4 days ago, i suggest you dont rush into scripting just yet

The player has an invisible trail that he leaves behind at the beginning of each level. That command is to detect if the trail is in existence.
You can see the trail two ways. activate the debug visuals or have a character follow you.

This is true.

Having the entity "followplr" will make them follow the player's trail, starting with the nearest and working up from there.

Also of not eon this subject is the entity's ability to leave a trail of their own using markers. The entity can use this trail of markers to return to their original position, should they lose the player and need to get back.

Thanks Gamer X and Plystire.

So then is the ifplrtrail always true? Or is there a way to erase it? Does it fade away with time?

Likewise, is the condition :ifmarker=x always true ? Are the entities continuously dropping markers or does a certain action "trigger" them to start dropping markers?
