For those of you who don't visit the team requests forum often, I suggest you head on over.

RPGamer has a great idea: The members of this forum know each other, and we're all (well, most of us are) programmers. Some are modelers, graphics artists, composers, and more. So...

Why not make a team that's all of us? The guys over at RGT seem to be pretty successful in their version (an FPS). RPGamer suggested (surprise) an RPG, and I'm all for it, ESPECIALLY if it's gonna be 3D.

BTW, I CALL THE MENU SYSTEM! (Not necessarily the main menu).

So let's get to work fellas! (and ladies )

well if you guys wanna start a group thing why not check out the dark trek threead in the beta announcments, we are lookin to get all theforumers to add something (ie their faces ) and make a fps star trek themed game, inspired by ermes's photo shop folley. Van says he already has models done and is gonna distribute the heads so that people can easily add their photos onto it. check it out if you want to start an rpg, we can prolly incorporate some rpg element into teh fps after we get teh engine up and running. arr

The problem with this otherwise perfect idea is, people won't agree on what the game will turn out to be . I for one refuse to pitch in in anything that is/will be anime in any way.

Lol I deleted Andys post cuz I didnt want any confusion to be caused (please forgive me Andy )

But ya, its not gonna be anime I dont think cuz I cant stand the stuff either!

It would be great for the community to really get involved with this one, its kinda gonna be like one giant tutorial, it will be open source we are planning, so the community can learn off it.

Not everyone has to program. Plenty is needed: textures, models, music, etc.

Right we need a storyline. Is this game going to be a violent or cheesy or what type of game?

Im really good at designing weaponry, guns are my speciality. I dont like lasers, but ill draw them if needed (i could model some also). I like guns that use BULLETS.

When is this game set?

Are all the forum members going to be part of a starship crew or something, or are we all going to be placed in different roles according to the story?

erm......... wizardry / bards tale / ssi games like pools of radiance.

most of these would be before your time and the explosion super nova dilution of manga art in the late nineties.
