Newcomers DBPro Corner / need HELP!

i am trying to write a program that will do random numbers and them print them in a text area....

to use a text command i have to make the random number in to a str
with ton$=str£(ton)
(ton is the random number) i then have to add the next part to it ie cost per ton with something like cost = ton *2000....
then (hope you are still with me on this LOL)
i do the same thing with the cost ie. cost$=str$(cost)
BUT when i use the text command again i get 2e5 +00D
how can i just get it to just put in the 00000 instead of the e5 any help on this would be great.
as you can see i am new to programing LOL
