Here is my first script. I edited the script now. It should attack you now.

That won't work. First off, the line that says

is going to interfeer with the whole script, since nothing will happen until the player is seen. This isn't inherently a problem, but it could change how you want the script to function.

Secondly, wherever it says state=2, this will set it so that the character will only shoot the player once, then do nothing for the rest of the game.

Finally, you have a few syntax errors. You have spaces in places there needn't be spaces.

All in all, this script needs a mojor re-write if you want it to work. I'd suggest reading Ply's tutorial, which I found quite helpful, and trying to analyze some scripts from the community guide. It is good to see you at least attempting something before coming to the community for help. It makes us much more level-headed and willing to help. Keep working at it, and you should be writing great scripts in no-time.

Best,

the plrcanbeseen line seems good to me, dont liek the enemy facing me at all times, makes stealth impossible, and is much less realistic... plrdistfurther should be increased, since it is the value of distance to the center of the object, 40 being 1 segment

I always thought it was 100=1 Segment... Time to go edit some scripts...

100 units is 1 segment.
