It is possible, but the player won't be able to pick up the dropped weapon. Meteorite has already made a script which allows this.

Someone figured out how to pick up dropped items, but I never got it...

Ply's mod does not have a plrdrop fix, but you can replace weapons, but you can not pick them back up still...

It would be complicated with Ply's mod, much easier with stock

With Ply's you would haveto have a single line of code to account for every weapon of that class, which with some games could be many, it saves a lot of time to have 1 small script, which was no longer than 10 lines.

I thought of a possible way, but it would have to deal with every possible weapon; just delete the weapon and move the dropped weapon from somewhere else, somewhere where the gun was already placed.

actually, that might be possible, when picked up it activates another of the same weapon, which moves to the plr, hmmmm
