With commands added in Ply's Mod 1.07, Mock weapon scripts can be made... so if you wanted to have a medpack be a weapon that heals,

This sort of thing could be useful to some people

Wow, meteorite, you really do come up with all of my ideas! lol

I did something along those lines for the fantasy game I made. I didn't use it much since I never got around to making allies

Glad to see you're still enjoying the Mod!

For those reading, the code snippet chopped out the backslash in the "shotbyweap" condition. It should read "user\medpack".

Yes, Ply, you should add a command to check if a specific weapon is NOT in the players hand, then I could make a realistic flashlight

Wouldn't that work just as well?
You could just have state 3 loop back to state 1 if holding the flashlight does nothing.

It's the reason I didn't implement a NotHaveWeap/NotHoldingWeap command

So... when's this realistic flashlight coming out?

Not till after the compo, although you just gave the code needed for thousands of people to make it making mine not extraordinary

Why did we not have this through mail? No one else seems interested, which means I doubt anybody would care if Plys mod never got weapon scripting

Ehhhh, we'll see how many people decide to put it in their entries.

I think if I'm helping someone in the contest, at least it's here for everyone to see. That way I'm not being a favoritist.

Hey, when you finish that flashlight script, can you email me it? I've been wanting a flashlight for testing.

For a model you could use smitho's torch, that was pretty good... or one of Errant's flashlight pistols

Im surprised you havent done it yourself

For now, try this, meteorite:

At the beginning of your script put "hudalpha=YourHUD 255" which should give the HUd full opacity. If it's a problem with the Mod, that SHOULD fix it (considering that's the only thing I added)

If not..... perhaps you can toss me the image you're using and I'll see if it works over here. If it doesn't, it'll give me a better basis to start from for debugging. (Also, the script you're using with it would help greatly)
