First thing, change that name, it's annoying, second, that screen was ok but using the same entity over and over again is...borrrrrrrrrrrring (no offense) how about you use full lightmaps and full shader effects, look on fpscreator.com at other people's screenshots for inspiration without copying them. and make a calling card for your game, as in some scenario or level that no one's gonna forget because it's soooooooooooo good, or be the first to use a mod, trust me it's what the pros do! (Halo, FEAR, COD 5, etc.) and I guarantee a good game for you,

If I do that, it takes over 28 hours to build the game!!!

Actually, the name ain't that bad, kinda like it.

Please don't upload BMPs though, they're a pain to load.

The game looks a tad plain, try adding some rubble, junk, and other stuff to the ground. Also, try to stray away from using yellow light, it's really painful to look at.

I do something starting from this game, keep up the good work.

It's a training area. And this is another thread for "The Invasion" except with a different name.

Story:

AE's take:

You are a security guard called Kurt Morgan. In your youth, you hastily joined the army but found basic trainning very hard. On the eve of your deployment in Iraq, you fled, and went in to hiding, eventually returning home under a new name: Tommy Scholes.

You became a security guard for the Ryachem Corporation, a major chemical company subcontracted by the government to investigate new nerve-gases for the army. Being close to something military makes you feel better about your army days; as you see, you are in some small way, doing your part.

One day, you turn up early for your shift. Your life is lived in routine. You check in, you talk to Carl the CCTV operators, you have a cup of coffee in the cafeteria. Today, you also see an enraged employee storm out of the building having been fired.

Your shift is long and boring, and you somehow wish for more excitement in your life.

- - - -

The next day you turn up for your shift and, when talking to Carl, it is revealed that a lot of the work force have been suffering from food poisoning since lunch. Some of them are still in the bathrooms now. You are told that you should search the building to make sure no one needs medical attention.

On your search, you find that what these people are sick with, it is much worse that mere food poisoning. They try to attack you, but you fight back. Some of the poisoned workers escape the facility and go out in to the city. As you try to chase after them, you meet Carl again, who has been fighting off attacks from the workers while you've been gone. He is injured, and looking at little ill but he is still 'human'. As he leads you out of the facility, he finally tips over the edge and tries to kill you (Boss Fight!)

- - - -

Having killed Carl, you go out in to the city. Your first move is to warn your girlfriend, Michelle, of the imminent attack. She is worried about you and tells you to go to your parent's house and protect them; you are also to call her when you get there.

You fight across the city to your parent's house. You defend the house from a horde of attacking zombies, but not well enough. Your parents are poisoned and turn into zombies and you have to kill them. Then you call Michelle. She can see the invasion of poisoned people outside and knows she won't hold out for long.

You travel across the city to find her. On the way, you meet other survivors who are banding together to form a resistance.

Eventually, you get to Michelle's apartment and rescue her. You and her then join the resistance so that you can fight your way to an airfield. Once there, you meet a hostage taken by the resistance, Erwin Breshnev, the man fired from Ryachem the previous day. It is revealed that he was the one who poisoned the workers at Ryachem. You are livid; he is responsible for not only the death of Carl, but also of your parents. However, you can't kill him because he is being forced at gun-point to engineer an antidote to the poison, which can be sprayed from the air over the city.

He must defend the airfield from a large attack. Erwin finishes his antidote, and is immediately detained. You must escort Erwin to be executed. However, he takes Michelle hostage and tries to escape. Suddenly, a zombie that survived the attack lurches at them both and poisons them. You must kill Erwin before it is too late. You do so.

Michelle is doomed. Having been injured by the zombie, there is nothing more you can do to save her...unless...the antidote! You must the antidote and give it to Michelle. It will prove if it works or not. Thankfully, it does. The rest of the antidote is loaded into a transport plane (Hercules, perhaps?) and sprayed over the city.

Those poisoned people will recover within a few hours, and there will be no long lasting damage to them. A new day dawns. You face it with the only important person left in your life; Michelle.

The End.

AE made it.

Also, variate between your crates. Use Shift+R to rotate it so that it'll look more realistic.

your game is pretty good. The story is good, and it's good that your looking to other people for advice! I simply love it that your'e not totally against model packs. I was experimenting with bathroom and locker room lights and I found that a sorta urine-ish color (lol) looks great for a horror enviroment......Buuuuuuuuuuuut the whole idea didn't fit into shatterpoint so i'll give you this idea to your advantage! You can even design the bathroom the same way. I don't mind. Check out the screeny below.

Its not like he's posting screens or giving us valuable information like a story. And no need to raise your voice.

I'd download, but it's late. I'll get it tomorrow. Oh, and BTW, a game doesn't have to fighting to be good. I just hope you have a puzzle or two in it. I like your shots so far, good luck.

Demo Review:

okay first off please write what you are going to say on paper before you record anything because you were kinda just going on and on for a long time.

did you test the level before uploading it the trigger zones were way to close to together so i would walk 2 feet then have another trigger zone go off so it would just be meshed in with 2 different voice overs.

the guys at the moving target range werent moving just walking in place. when you had to stack up the boxs make it so you cant brake them and instead of a gate there have a wall so you cant see the drop same goes for the moving target range theres no wall there so you can see the drop of death.

then levels werent bad but you just need to fix some things and write a script so you know what you are going to say for the voice overs

Thanks for the review Beachard5. It wasn't supposed to be a official demo. I just wanted you to play the first three levels of it. And I will fix those things.

EDIT: @Beachard5, why didn't you review the 2nd and 3rd level?
