Hi,

Here is a preview of my soon to be released model pack: Road Segments. The pack is designed to allow you to create high quality roads for your games! Included is 20 segments (all tested and working brilliantly in FPS Creator X9) including basic tarmac, pavement and overlaid roads! Check out the screen shots below; more will be posted on request.

(Note buildings note included)

Pricing will be approximately £7 but may change.

More information will be posted on request so ask me any questions you need to know and check back soon. Also, I will inquire about getting the pack into TGC's store so you can buy individual segments if you wish.

I would love to here what you think as this is my first model pack!

Thanks

Patrick Tew

These look great. Can enemies walk on them?

Can you give me the dimensions of the roads as they are in the pictures? They look kind of narrow, like they might be one segment from edge to center (8 feet).

As Nickydude said, have you tried AI on them and checked their movements? Sidewalks as well, are they elevated segments and if so, how does that affect doors on the buildings?

Where you live (Cyberspace?) is it normal for such a city street to have a broken white line (passing allowed) down the center? Is there a version with solid yellow lines? And finally, they look very new. Perhaps you could dirty them up a bit.

Nice work altogether and a much needed theme.

Best.

in Europe, yes.
Yellow is used here for changes made during roadworks. Our roads came in black and white, maybe colour was not invented at build time.

I am Jacks complete lack of surprise.

Sounds like xplosys needs an Aussie/EU Road rules lesson. lol
In aus, the most common line, is this - - -. That one means that both lanes can overtake. sometimes, you will see on like this
________ This means that only the side with the dotted line can
- - - overtake, and this is most common on a corner, with the outside lane inable to pass. Then ofcourse there is this line ===== (no gaps) meaning no lanes may pass. This is most common arround a hill, or windy road.

The only yellow lines in australia, as far as i know, are along the sides of the footpath, meaning that oyu cant park in that location, or some parking spots marked out in yellow, etc.

You always drive on the left hand side, and the driver sits on the right hand side of the vehicle.

Thats pretty much the road rules of Aus

ONe more thing, if you see a Roo on the road, if your more than 50 meters, brake slowly and honk, if your less then 30 meters at first sight, dont slow down, speed up, and avoid if possible

HAve a nice day

That's very similar in the US, which is why you would never see - - - - on a narrow city street. Here, this street would have two solid yellow lines, meaning that you cannot pass, unless it's a one way.

Thank you all for the interest in my pack. Sorry that I haven't got back to you all in a while; times have been busy of late. I appreciate all of the feedback.

@ xplosys and Nickydude

Each segment is 1 segment wide, however, I designed the pack so you can make roads as wide as you want (see screen shot). I hope this is helpful. . Also, 'dirtying up' is definitely something I will add in the next installment, however I am very pressed for time at the moment. So as they say, watch this cyberspace.

Furthermore, AI works great in tests on the segments, including the paths(sidewalks), and the WW2 iron door opens no problem but goes through the segment ((which isn't noticeable)see screen shot)).

@ xplosys, TiTaniUm, djmaster and daarboven

Attached is a Google Earth photo of my home (sorry for the poor resolution, it didn't go higher on GE) of the city close to me, Lincoln, in England. It shows the type of white lines in the pack.

Thanks for all of your comments. I appreciate it.
