Well I already told my story following all kind of tutorials on DBP, then switching to Blender. I learn model, character animation, now it is time to learn to make a game. Well I check several game engine all of them require learning scripting. Especially c++
I read a nice article on making a game http://www.gamedev.net/reference/programming/features/davegpg/
I read many game engine description and review. http://www.devmaster.net/engines/ all of them use C++, I bet it is not that harder to learn than DBP. But It is hard for me to change engine over and over. DBP was not for me, hard a hard time to learn, and then I tryed blender, really hard to master, but I suceed. But when I try making a game with it, I run into all kind of trouble, it is not a game engine you want to try. It is nto a game engine yet (they are working on it, but also C++ will be used, can't get around if you want to live of that one day). Desperate I continue my search. DBP is not WYSIWYG. I came across amy other game engine, I think I found what I am looking for http://www.3drad.com/ I saw a good review on it there 4.5 stars http://www.devmaster.net/engines/engine_details.php?id=573
It is really way easier to make thing working out. I will soon post my project. But you can already try cames made with it. on the web site.

* You want to create games and you aim consoles. Well listen to this. I meet a guy that started on his own and he start sending his prototype at compagny and he got hired. And live of that since 34 years. Also you don't need the best game engine to make a prototype, you don't need a game engine that can be a PS3, wii or X360 eventualy like torque or whatever. No, if the game studio like your prototype, they will make you come in their studio and they will make the game no mather what engine you where using to do it.

To know more about the basic of making a game read this http://explore.digipen.edu/index.php?id=511
Press all the red dots they all have a article on game developpement.

Good luck.

*Back on topic*

Shouldn't this go to the other thread, about all languages other than DB related ones? It mainly talks about engines and such...
