How the hell did you do that kind of water with x9 ?
:b
Looks awesome, I'm just wondering cause a lot of the stuff looks much more high-end than what i've seen done in FPSC x9.

@Essal: He is using the Modification "efxMod" from Helix Software, which features many Graphical Enhancements.

Wolf... what should I say?

This game is stunning man...holy crap. I love it. The only crit I have is that the blood on the wall in the first screen is the same blood "brush" (I'm guessing) that's on the zombie texture in the second screen.

@Essal: Its the one out of the efx Mod bye Helix Software. (I use my own Normalmap though)

@Doomster: Thanks mate, hope i`ll see an entry from you in my contest

@AaronG: Hey, thanks man! Yeah, I know. I mised the screens and I didn`t post all of em, so, the Zombie appears in the third Level, and the Blood on the wall is out of the first Level. But I guess I`ll change it Thanks for the hint.

I now LOVE you too! Did you get those textures you used from
cgtextures? I looked there but couldn't find any you might have used.

Well I get a lot from CG Textures, but I once downloaded " a photorealistic Texture Pack" for Game Mods. I had to do much Work on em though.

Oh, btw, you can win a pack of 20 Textures in a Contest I opened.

Oh and a lot of great stuff is available here. It looks a bit cartoonish, just edit it:

Efxmods sounds cool and all, but is there another place to get it than their website? because on their website, when i goto the page with efxmod its just an empty page that says:"being worked on..."

?

I went to the german boards in hopes to find a more recent version of efx to try out since I really like their work and really couldn't care less about all the arguments that occured on these boards some time ago. But it seems the Helix team have adopted a bit of a nazi-like policy, non-german FPSC users are no longer allowed to use it.

A pity, I must say. I was considering paying money for a license for the new 2009 version (with dynamic soft shadows, paralax mapping and so on) when they were finished with it.

So... Now they think Germans are superior to every other race in the world? I know it's a German based company, but really...

Well, I`m not german, but you guys are really a little racist o.O

I read things about Nazis and stuff... what the heck

As far as I know YOU guys locked the EFX Thread, the reason...I dont know. So, why do you blame em for releasing their Work only in one Board. I never see anything made bye you guys in the german board either. So what?

Please don`t argue about the mod in this thread

I'm not mad about them not wanting to release it, I mean a few members have broken their license and it's understandable why they decided to remove it. But to release it to only the German board doesn't seem fair at all. What makes them think that a German wouldn't break a rule the same way we did?

Screenshots look awesome as usual, easily some of the best FPSC ones I've ever seen. How is the performance, with all the water, bloom, and high textures?

I agree, these are some really nice shots! The scenery looks well thought out and planned. Only thing I can suggest is some more variation in the height of the rooms. Other than that, it's ace.

I think they're the ones being racist against us Aussies, Englishmen and Americans.

On a lighter note, these screens are superb, keep up the excellent work.

What about swedes?

On a more on-topic note, where did you get the blood overlays from the shots? Are they overlays or "built" into the textures? Anyway, they look really nice and realistic.

Yeah! I rarely use Overlays, they don`t fit in the lightning, i find em a bit noobish, honestly

The Blood is on the Textures, pure brush work.

So do I, it looks awesome...

It's really up to Helix what they do with their mod, heck, they could make it so you have to be albino to use it, they made it, and there's no necessity for them to release it...

It came with a free decal set he made, had flashing computer lights and radars in it...

Spectacular screenshots, Wolf. Very good and the horror mood is definitely set.

One thing I did notice, is that while the environment is sparkling with wonderful shaders and awesome lighting..... the weapons don't seem to fit the appeal. They don't seem to have any sort of graphical enhancement at all.

Keep it up, hope to see more!

@rolfy: Thanks man, I appreciate your comment! If you like my Mapdesign, you might also be interested in checking my MOD Contest Entry.

@Plystire: Thanks! its pretty hard to create a good athmosphere, and I love to see that also the "professionals" like it

But, I use normalmaps on my weapons ever since. You can see them on the screens. I attached one where I`m very close to a light source for better view.

They are way more spectacular In Game of curse
