Hey,

I have made a fullytextured-character, and now I want to test it with the stock animation. So I want to skin the character to the stock bones. Is that possible. If so, how?

I have Milkshape3D, 3DS Max. Can I do it with that?

Many Thanks,

Red Eye,

If you have 3ds max, its very simple.

milkshape can open an x. file then export from milkshape to obj. or 3ds. format. Then Import into 3ds max as an obj. or 3ds.

Hmm yeah you have the basic problem when the polys are not close enough to the bone.I saw you can fix that manually in Bond1's character rigging tutorial.I also use 3dsmax and im having problem with positioning my weapon.

If you used physique (which you should) you just fiddle with the envelopes or add vertices manually. Theo option is in the modifier menu if you play around a bit.
