Hi everyone:
I\'m a new user to the software. I\'m having a problem getting a door to open when i\'ve collected a key. In the WWII category, I\'m using Key_1 and the Iron Door (key). When I collect the key and approach the door, it says Locked Neded key and won\'t open.
I would appreciate some help. is there something in scripting that I\'m overlooking?
Thanks for any help.

Im not sure if I remember correctly, but i think you have to rightclick the door and type in the name of the key in the editor for it to work. .

Assigning a key to unlock a door

Place the door you want to open with a key in your level. Right-click on the door to open it's properties tab and change it's main script to doorkey.fpi.

Place the key somewhere in your level, and right-click to open it's properties tab. Under it's 'if used' property, type the name of the door you want it to unlock (it needs to be spelled exactly the same as the name of the door).

Why are spamming all the threads with that same comment? This thread was already finished. He asked his question and he got his answer. Eventually this thread will go to the bottom of the page and die off.
