Seth Black , yea I guess so.. but then again people that almost have no experience with FPSC will find it hard to transform the files.

Cyborg ART , Have you also set the compatibility to X9 ?

Maybe a short tutorial would help. Just a thought.

I have uploaded models to X10 before and yes you have to set to X9 for janet to approve and all of the models will work in X9 if they do in X10 it just cuts off the bits that dont work like Spec and normal mapping which doesnt cause any issues just acts as if the file are not there.

Will most likely get this for X10 once i get some more points.

Hope you get these uploaded soon. I've been checking the store daily.

Amazing work. Outstanding. What do you use for modelling / UV mapping?

Great to hear you like it that much

The second character should be up tomorrow , at least I hope it will.
I used Cinema4D for modelling and Uv mapping ,and it's rigged in fragmotion.

The second character is stunning. I can't wait to get the X10 version. I'm down to 425 points so hoping that will be enough.

It's as good as FEAR, Stalker, Half Life 2 ... you name it.

This character would fit into any commercial FPS.

Thanks All , I will defiantly do more !
Unfortunately, GCS doesn't accept only X10 models, so I will find another way to sell it.
Will host a site maybe... or sell it on other store. But the price will be around 250 Points.

Hey man, what is an email that I can send you money via PayPal.
I want to make good on the prize I offered for model competition 6.
The thread got locked and I never found out who the official winner was, but I want to award you and Xgames a prize anyway.
Let me know which email address to send it to.

What is different in the X10 version that causes it to be incompatible with X9?

Matuka , yea 2.50 $ is correct , I think its not to much

CJ , Hey Thanks man ! I totally forgot about it ! You can send it to Marked.Oleggmail.com

Airslide , The main problem is that the FPI script is a little bit different.
And people that have no experience with FPSC won't be able to get it to work right.

michael x , not sure what you mean :S

When do you think there will be an alternative purchase method available?

I want to purchase the X10 version and gawk at it being rendered in real time for a while .

I'm sorry I'm trying to figure this out, where can I buy the x9 version of this character? Are we still awaiting its arrival in the TGC Store? Or do you have a website currently up and running?

Thanks, cheers

The X9 characters should be up very soon on GCS and X10 characters going to be uploaded on my site or on FPSC-Online Store.

@ CE , I got your prize , Thank you very much

In the mean time I have created a other character , kind looks like the second one...

Can you save the crew of LV21?

Sorry for BIG hold up guys... I'm currently trying to collect some extra cash for Digital Art school WOOT..
And I'm also going to Spain in two days , so you won't hear from me for two weeks.
But when I will be back I will start working on this again. I think I'm going to create few extra characters and put it all in pack and sell it online but also on GCS and FPSCstore.

On the other side , I think that they are still not good enough..
I have looked at Erants new soldiers and they looking a lot better and more professional.
So I'm thinking of redoing it and throw the old one for free. Tell me what you think of it.

EDIT : if you have more ideas for characters or other stuff feel free to post them here !

Hopefully you have a great time in Spain man!

First of all, yes Errant's characters are superb, but yours still are absolutely amazing! The quality is fantastic, and are easily worth selling.

If I was you, I would still put those original characters up for sale on the GC Store. Giving them away would be unfathomable generousity of course - but I would still buy them when they showed up in the store if you went that route.

You could always just then put the new, even better quality ones up for sale for a greater price!

Either way, I'm still very very anxious to buy them!!!

-Cheers

= EDIT =

I was just messing around in Garry's Mod 10, and I got thinking about some of the characters/models. Well you said if anyone's got any ideas for new characters -

I'm just throwing these out there remember, as some inspiration for characters that could be somewhat based off of the looks of these guys. You might like some of 'em, might not; hopefully they give you some ideas though

-Cheers

@Braden

Perhaps we could try and get Strelok's characters in GMOD, perhaps as Combine Soldier clones. 'Twould be fun to have them firing at us!

Would require a complete re-rig though..

That'd be sweet man, Gmod is so addicting and entertaining.
For so long I've wished there were ways of getting Gmod downloadables to work in FPSC; although, it would take work that I cannot even fathom

Getting Source engine models is easy. You don't have to worry about the more complex physics engine that Source has.

Getting FPSC content in to Source is also easy. So far I have tackled props, textures and weapons. The only thing I cant manage is characters, because of the whole complex Ragdoll and reverse kinematics stuff.

Oh wow, really. That is quite impressive, and fantastic to hear as well, definitely could benefit from sharing media in both engines.
But yeah, characters I would imagine would be terribly complex to rig for Source, it's quite a leap.

I purchased Orange Box for £16 recently and downloaded the Source SDK and tools etc.

The Hammer editor looks almost the same as leadwerks 3D world studio and there are some good tutorials around. I'm considering giving it a go.

You can rig character models for Source but it appears to require Softimage with an XSI plugin for all the ragdoll stuff
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjsstUqiUyY&feature=related

There is a 3D Max video of a rigged HL2 model if that helps

Thanks Strelok!
