EDIT:
I actually have several questions too ask so I'll post them all here instead of making a new thread.

#1
Is it possible to have two different projects open within the same DBpro application. So, in other words can I open up dbpro and have two different project running so I can edit them both? thanks!

#2
How can i find out how big my character is in dbpro units. Also the width and stuff.

#3 How can I get a real time read out of where my character is in the X and Y coordinates.

yes i know some of them are stupid question but I really dont know.

Well thanks in advance!

Hm, here are some answers:

1. Not in the default IDE. But what I like to do is have multiple windows open and just ALT-TAB between them.

2. object size x(Object Number) (or y, or z)

3. object position x(Object Number) (or y, or z)
Note: Remember, that the Y axis is up... I assume you meant X and Z coordinates.

Feel free to ask with any...more... questions..?

Edit: I realized you said "real time" readout. Just put something like this in your main loop.

OK, Thanks for the help, but for the first one you say you have several windows open, but when ever I try to open DBpro twice it just switches to my current window.

once upon a time i was able to have more than one project open in the stock IDE but, at some point (after an IDE update? sometime BEFORE i changed to Vista), it stopped working. the pull-down shown here would hold multiple projects. now, i'm just opening 2nd (3rd, etc) projects in notepad when i need to pull or reference code from one project to another.

i know this response doesn't hold an answer but i wanted to state "you're not the only one!" with hope that it helps in getting more responses/thoughts on the matter

What version do you have? 7.3 and 7.4 are supposed to come with a new editor. Otherwise, Codesurge FTW!
