How do you change the FPE of a charactor so that he doesnt spawn at the start of the game?

That's a good question, actually....


The answer is a little disappointing:

You can't.


The only spawn related things you can set in the FPE are:
spawnmax
spawndelay
spawnqty


This is probably because the "spawner" entity that controls when an entity is spawned is not the entity you place in the Editor, nor is it the entity you are setting up in the FPE. It is an invisible entity that you never see and can only interact with through some of the spawn options in the editor.

Ok Thats dissapointing... Its gonna mean more work for the user... Also while im asking for some reason when i set up the spawning details for my zombies the dont work... You need to manually change them to the scripts i want... When its done in the fpe file they dont work... I know all of the directorys are correct.....

Hmmm, just to be sure, try deleting the .bin files associated with those .fpe's when you change them.

Also, make sure FPSC is closed down when you make changes, as it needs to load them as you grab them out of the bank or as it loads a level.

Remove them from your level. Save the level. Exit FPSC, then put them back in.

That might do the trick.
