I think there is a command to make the sound louder as you get closer.

yeah you could do, it with 3dsound= (dont think that is gonna work as it activates the sound [3d] at the position of the player.

As hockeykid said...you could do it with plrdistfurther and plrdistwithin and then adjust the volume when the enemy (monster/creature) gets closer. I think you should do this, in de main AI script of the creauture.

@Red Eye:

"3dsound" is not a command, nor is "sound3d" or whatever the manual calls it.

The 3d sound is called "sound" and the sound that is always played at the player's position is called "plrsound".

When you use "sound" it will play the sound at the position of the entity that the script is attached to.

that is wierd,,, check in the flatlanders editpad.. click actions and then right click on it, go to sound.. you will see there a action called 3dsound=

but if you say so, i believe you,

Quote: "When you use "sound" it will play the sound at the position of the entity that the script is attached to."

sorry, for the misunderstanding, but that is what i meant

Yes, the official FPSC manual also says "3dsound", but it too is incorrect. I believe flatlander moved all of the commands from the manual into his help file to make it easier on him.

I don't know if the community guide has it listed, too... He may have gotten his list from there. Not sure.

In any case. "3dsound" does not exist. If you put it into a script, you will find that, surprisingly, it does not work.
