DarkBASIC Discussion / How would I make darkedit work I have vista and it never works with a lot of replacement editors

also how do I shoot a bullet remember that FPS engine I made I was never able to finish it.

Ok never mind Umm the compile or execute commands don't work but I can still use it as an editor.

From the sound of things, you haven't set up Dark Edit's File paths. There's an options panel somewhere (Edit, Options, DarkBasic tab, I think) and you need to tell the computer where the DB.exe actually is - it's not a mind-reader after all!

Also, where have you got the DarkEdit exe? In Vista, the Program Files folder is locked for editing, but DarkEdit has to create a temp file when it compiles/runs your code. You could try placing your DarkEdit exe directly on the C:\ Drive, and it should compile the code fine. If it still doesn't work, post the error message you're getting and we'll com eup with something else.
