Hey guys how come this script doesnt work? It should play the explosion script once when you get near it and take away 20 health. It doesnt do anything though...

The "rundecal" command needs a value. Sadly, unlike the sound and music commands, it cannot actively load the things it needs.

I was close . Wasn't sure if it opens a file or runs the default decal from the fpi lol, I've just learnt something new !

Well the new script works-ish (:state=0,plrdistwithin=60:rundecal0,plraddhealth=-20,destroy) and it takes the health but doesnt play the decal.... Is there sometthing different with decals as far as the distance measurements are concerned?

It's because you haven't added the = onto rundecal . Try that.

That's because you destroy the entity immediately. This basically just tosses the entity into the trash with no further effects.

Try using "suspend" instead of destroy.

No difference. ATM im not having much luck with scripting, i think that i am gonna leave FPSC scripting for a while until i can come up with a solution for zombie mod waves or this explosion script....

If anyone wants to have a go at recreating the conditions the decal im using is from the sprite pack 1 and the script has been posted above.
