It depends on what the company is going to sell and how much $ is envolved.

If you are selling software you are making in low volumes you arn't buying from other companies and you arn't dealing with a lot of cash so just sell it and keep records of every transaction just in case.

Some people sell a lot of stuff on ebay without any trouble.

I am sure your parents would be able to do all the legal stuff for you if it it needed.

Well, i don't think we are going for the pc that much. I am involved with the nFinity and have recently been in talks with Nintendo, so we won't be a secret company, as we are hoping to work on GCN.

You forgot about the $20K part. We're gonna need one hell of a good game before you get me to donate any money towards getting the cash for the equipment to develop for nintendo.

That's still a ways off, even though Nintendo had game programers in mind when designing the GC, it won't be a walk in the park. Also you have to be at least 16 just to get a decent job, 18 to start a business, what makes you think they will hirer you when they got college grads with fancy ass resumes. Untill I see any proof that you could handle this kinda stuff, I'll contenue to hold my doubts.

In sweden you must be 18 to start a company, 16 in special cases that I don't know about. And I have no clue about how it's in US. There's a lot to know, you have to take some classes in company management.

In Sweden you can earn up to 30000kr/year as a hobbyist, don't know what rules there are in US. That's what company management classes are for.

Haven't seen him around lately...Kind of a Clark Kent phenomenon when he's not there I am and vice versa.

On the subjects though,a little 25 hours administration course can dramatically help depending on what's offered in your area.

-Here in sweden you even get paid to take those classes

In Canada, when you have one,you don't pay Gas and food.

Not to talkabout buisness 'meeting' in good company...

If I've seen it all before, why's this bus taking me back again? @_@

ONCE WE FINISH A GAME, WE THEN WORRY ABOUT BUSINESS AND MONEY.

It's good to be a little excited, optimistic, and be a little ahead of yourself. But right now you're way to far. Think that most pros don't get to develop with nintendo.

Quote: "we will have to develop for nFinity for a while first"

Ummmm, nfinity is unreliable, and like I said in my posts in the team request section, we'll be lucky to make more than $100 each.

(I think Raven's probebly on vactation/business or something, havn't seen any trace of him lately.)

All this arguing is making me tired, so I'm off to play some games.

I'm with arrow, nintendo does have a whole list of grads and experianced programmers to choose from, why would they pick a 12 year old kid who doesnt even have any experiance? (no offence, most of us dont)

[quote]Yes, i have acsess to all the equipment needed to create a gcn (Gamecube) game. So ha, yu people who thoughti was a worthless n00b!!!

U are saying you have acceses to GC dev kit?? Or what? Cuase I been studing Dreamcast development for a few months now, and let me tell you, if u don't wanna mentally kill your self, stick with pc programming. Oh and i also looked in to GBA programming with C++. Wuz too hard so I quit.

here read this article for ppl who want to develop for nintndo on gamecube

16 to open up a private limited company in the uk.

dunno about the us, but i'd take an educated guess at 18.

and you'd probably make more money making pc games, and its cheaper, and easier. i don't personally know ANYONE who owns a gamecube anyway, they all have ps2's.

The problem with PC vs Console is that consoles have better controls, and PCs have more, and bigger games So it all depends on your perspective.

ummmmmmmm MattMan, your saying stuff about you talking to Nintendo, and about you programming games for the GC for them, when i belive that the won't even consider you unless you are of 16(may be 18) or older. And another thing.. You are 13 or 12... so all money you would make would be technically your parents.

Oh and Where have you been contacting Nintendo... at the Jp HQ or US Hq?

They won't even let you program a game for any of there systems.... lmao. If you can't program in C/C++ how in the hell do you expect to program in GCL. It isn't like Basic and VB, its a hell of alot different. So even if you join a company that programms for GC..they still won't accept the game because a lil kid made it.

Nintendo have talked with a 12 year old about making Gamecube games? They have given you an SDK? I've read about Nintendo's practices when it comes to developers and it's certainly, shall we say, watertight.

I look forward to reading a review! Good luck. You're gonna need it (frm what I've seen on GBA developing [- actually it wasn't that bad after a while]).
