The docs say:
Quote: "ROTATEY=X , ROTATEIY=X rotate an entity around its y axis (second one with an increment)"

but there is no ROTATEX or ROTATEZ to fully access an entities translation in 3d space
Are we really limited to spin stuff around on the vertical axis or is there a solution (in a mod maybe) to turn'em around as we like?

We can already [stock engine] rotate stuff. With FPI commands (actions).

NOT in the editor, I know how to do THAT.
I mean at runtime, to for example rotate a block around the x axis when the player gets near it, but not with built-in animation and rather with a scripting command like rotatex or so...

I think the commands do work.. But mAybe looking in the fpieditpad will do the work.

The stock engine does not have "rotatex" or "rotatez" it only has "rotatey".

What you're looking for can be accomplished using Ply's Mod.

thanks ply, that was what i thought in first place. Hope Lee merges your mod into the official version someday.
