This time this won't get cancelled since it is in official development now.

Set in year: 2012
Age limit: 15 or 18
Contains: Strong gore & Violence, Strong Language
Developed by: SikaSina Games

Entry for the Ultimate FPSC Competition

Ghosting: VItal Instincts branches off another game me and some other friends are making and is based on an infection caused by a catastrophe in a mental Asylum. A team of scientists have developed a new contraption which can create a human being completely from scratch and act the same as a human. Using genes extracted form inmates, the subjects will vary in size, looks and personality etc. But shortly after their success, they discover that something has gone incredibly wrong and one of the inmates had slipped a small gene of their mental personality with their other genes. It wasn't long until the scientists found out that the first subject was found devouring every living person in the asylum and overloaded the machine to create more of their 'species'. People were hacked and mutilated and all hope was lost. You, a freelance ex-army soldier is sent bare handed to find out what the hell had gone wrong after a case of a nuclear explosion not far from the desolate town...The olympics were set to happen in 2012. Now, the only event left is the extinction of mankind.

In the first 2 screens you have nice shadows going, however I don't think the lighting compliments this as it is dark to begin with. I would get some stronger, brighter lighting so we REALLY see the shadows.

Also, if the player is expected to play with that noise on, I would seriously tone it down.

Looks quite good though.

Like I've said over at the community forums, this looks great. That noise is very irritable looking though.

Just a little BUMP, there is a video over at YOuTube displaying a teaser for the main Ghosting if you want to watch that.

I don't find "strong" language offensive, but the amount you used in that video was so over-the-top that it detracted from any seriousness you intend for the game.

Lol, I thought that afterwards . I'm making another trailer for GVI but it will take a while since I'm transferring files over to my new DIY PC . Some new screens might be posted as well, maybe even the old alpha level (not in the actual game now).

So is this being migrated over to x10? And yeah, I thought the language was a little silly . Otherwise, the story seems interesting enough. (I really should be used to the language, thanks to public school)

I'm not sure, X10 lags like hell on this PC and I need SP1 for Vista on my other internet-buggy PC . Still, my other one works fine with X10 but I can't run it now since I updated X10 and I don't have SP1 of course and I still need to activate my copy of Vista >.<.

BUMP New screens! These are from a survival mode included along with GVI. Before you ask, these are taken from my new DIY PC, so I haven't baked up any shadows...yet. Anyway, about the other map as well, until I've got all the media onto this PC and the MP22 characters converted a different shader (I've got the ATi 4550 ). It's using Project Blue Mod too .

Screen 1 attached, the barrels have been moved around and a girder has been placed in the middle of the room. New screens will be posted soon. Enjoy! It's meant to be dark as well, it's an underground mine .

Ok I've got some C&C for you,but there's only one for now.
-On the last screens there is plenty of yellow light used witch makes the game stale.Try mixing that color whit a colder color or red and black to make a dark orange,It will look better, believe me.

What you see isn't always real....

I know what you mean, I'm working on the light placement, I try not to stick to whit or bland colours so I tend to go for orange and yellow, and I guess it went a it overboard on yellow. I'll see what I can do. And before anyone asks, the map's a WIP right now so there isn't a lot of scenery.

Sorry, I tuned my VGA Card to use a darker brightness for a better result. I'm changing the lights now. Sorry about that lol, luckily it's at the default standard now .

Bump, I'm now creating another survival mode based on Shi No Numa from CoD:WaW (Shi No Numa ftw ) except that you're in a smaller start point . Most of GVI may be switched over to X10 since I've grown a habit of using that now. I'll leave you with a pic of the new swamp map. Sorry about Media Player, I use the mini player, so it displays the song name when it starts . Before you ask, yes, I'm into Reggae (blame my mum for UB40 and Ali Campbell lol), also heavy rock . C&C welcome .

The shed looks fair okay at the time being...
Also may I ask where did you get the shed segments from? or are they your own? 'Cause their pretty neat...

Looks nice SSG. Just add a few more entities in the background, drop the ambiance way low, and maybe even add a black fog.

It's Kravenwolf's Cabin entity. I'm going to add another shed of mine if I can learn to model.

By the sound of that, I'd better turn down the range of the light in the cabin . I'll take a screen of the swamp when I get a chance (working on my enterprise day prototype sketch and GCSE Graphics coursework). Thanks for the comments as well

Mods: Can you lock this thread please? GVI is being made alongside outside of the public eye with Ghosting and a new entry is under development. Thanks .

@Users,

Expect some more screens of the different game I'm making; it is to do with Ghosting, yet it follows a completely different storyline.
