OK, still playing around and learning to make decals so here is another. It's pulleys and belt for any kind of machinery.

A short video of the pulleys in action is attached and download at fpsFREE.com

Thank you friends

I'm playing around with some in-game assistance type things. Here is a blinking arrow to keep the player moving in the right direction. Small video attached...

I have an idea for some neon signs, but that will take a while.

Yet again, another brilliant idea that works perfectly.

Your great because this shows other users that with a little thought anything can/may be achieved or replicated in some way or another.

All the best of luck.

Nice job man!
Good ideas! With the spinning wheels.
and maybe for some tutorial in the game itself
explaining how everything works etc (like movement, keys and such)
The arrow could be very usefull for those type of sceneries.

Excellent work, xplosys. I'm sure such an original use of decals will get members of the forum thinking of interesting ideas.

Good luck with the markers,
Paul

Thanks Tanya,

I'm having trouble with the arrow decals. When you use decalflat.fpi, which seems to make sense with this type of decal, it cannot be rotated and the arrow can only point in one direction. I got around this by creating an arrow model and using decal.fpi, but I can't seem to get the model aligned with the decal. Placing it in the editor is very hit and miss, and takes a while to get placed properly.

If I can figure it out, I'll make a couple of variations and colors and release them. ATM, I'm busy with a database program.
