What Am I doing wrong I try to add an image to a post but it never shows up.
The image is viewable if I type it into the browser but when I use the image command it doesn't show

I'm afraid geocities and most other freebie hosting companies do not allow linking to images as they see it as wasting bandwidth.

EASY FIX. i had the same problem with you for a long time. within geocities rename the file to .txt file and then post the image
e.g.

if you right click the pic and do properties you'll see its a .txt pic. glad i could help.

P.S. these are all pictures made by me(cant you tell the high quality(LMAO)) oh well i only have paint to work with so bear with me

remember things can always be worse.
