Ok, I tried rigging up a weapon for FPSC and managed to get it done, but only after a number of problems. I messed up the animations three times, and so gave up. Anyway heres a screenie, download in next post. Its still to be perfected but...

Hey if you want i can help you texture it http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=151469&b=24 Check out the pistol i have on my thread, i think its got a nice texture. I used paint.net to make it, using layers and different materials like scratches, metal and bits and peices that make the gun look like the real thing. BTW yeah i know how much of a pain it is to learn how to do this, this is my 7th day doing it, but after the first 2 (which is when i finished my first gun ump) It got easier. Now i can make a gun within 2 hours. Fully animated and textured

Thanks for the offers, but no thanks. I'd like to keep it looking as crumby as possible because, well...I have my own reasons; I'd like to be able to look back from being a professional and laugh at my attempts. Besides, on my other models (that are not weapons) I have more appealing results. I reckon if I'd spent the time, the texture would have been a little nicer. But thanks for the offer

What exactly is that cube there?

A Wolthar p99 you say?

Okay not to get myself flamed but all I can say is the texture and model need ton's more work if it's going to look like a Walther P99.

But seriously, it's just a kid's cut-out attempt at a gun(No offense), for one you could make it have more depth to it and part's bevelling in and small little part's inside the weapon it's self.

Personally from a perfectionist's view, needs a LOT of work and also if your going to do a imitation of a weapon(A complex'ly shaped one such as a Walther P99), then before you do so, go for a shotgun, seriously, there easy, all it is a handle, a stock, a barrel, and a squared reciever...

(Also sorry for being harsh, but it's what you need to hear)

I know this board has some wierd rulez about telling the truth so all I say is that this is not a pistol its a gray box. Its good to see that you learn to model, but as Matuka already stated, try to start with a shotgun or an easy melee weapon..

It looks very different in a modelling program, and I'm not sure about you, but most guns I've ever seen haven't been spheres?
