Anyone willing to collaborate on a MMORPG?

I have model + animation creation covered, but I need someone who is good at one or more of the following:

3d coding

menu creating

server stuff (saving characters/passwords, placing everyone in the same world)

thanks!

Hi,,

Im sorry but, people are unlikely to be going to write an MMORPG in DBC with someone they have never met before and without any proof that this person can model and that they wouldn't be better off on their own.

Thats a very hard to do, and if I am not mistaken, you can only have 255 people per server in DBC, (correct me if I am wrong), which means to have a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Game is going to require a lot of servers and a lot of complicated code.

I may be totally wrong but I dont think this is realistic.

Hope I helped,,,

Thanks,,,

Careful too, team requests are against the forum rules.

Not strictly true, team requests are allowed if you can show progress on the project already, enough to post on the WIP board.

There are quite a few collaborators out there.
Maybe you'd be better looking for someone who needs a 3D modeller/animator rather than trying to start your own project with nothhing to your name. TRy the WIP board or Game Design theory.

Also if you're good at modelling, did you know you can upload your models to the TGC store for people to buy?

There is an eight letter word. You can insert a letter into it or remove a letter from it without changing its meaning. Answer

Instead of using abunch of servers you could just use a dll to do it. that would be easier just saying lol.

Also,

If you have made a whole load of models for the game and you have a good idea of what you want it to be like you could have a look at Realm Crafter. You can make a MMORPG with no coding knowledge although I think that you can code in python if you want. Ive tried it, not really my cup of tea but you may want to have a look at it.

Thanks,,,

I am a bit bored lately, so I could help you a bit (you know, code a bit here and there, but not the hole thing). But there are three conditions :

-Post screen shots and other proof that you ARE making this, I want to see all of the models animated in a video or something, textures, maps...

-I can quit whenever I like, or if I think that you are losing your motivation on this and giving me all of the stuff to do, or if I get the impression you are just using me.

-mention me or anyone else that helps you on this project in the credits.

If you agree with the above terms, I will be willing to help you with the two points listed below.

-3d coding

-menu creating

Thanks for taking an interest in my game!

Production is stuck, because I am working on a waypoint editor (my sig) for my game. More info about that you can read in my post here.
