I was reading a post by Studio Turtle and I thought I'd give his idea a try, however I could not pull it off..

Script being:

What'd I do wrong? Keep in mind that this is the first time I've attempted scripting on FPSC.

first off on the first state=0 you put state=1 second off you can't make a head shot sound play when the enemy gets shot in the head.

And put the headshot=1 in the appear script as in the destroy script, the headshots will be activated when hes dead.

@hockeykid:Why not? The sound would play when the character is dead, and if the headshot kills the entity, then the sound would play.

Nope because headshot=1 isn't a condition, it just states to allow head shots there is no way to tell if you got a head shot, or is the entity got shot in the head.

true headshot=1 is an action not a condition, but the action instantly kills the enemy if the enemy is shot in the head. In this case place the sound in the destroy script and it will play when enemy is dead.

Yes, but it would seem a bit silly to have a "HEADSHOT!" sound play when you didn't get a headshot.

Yes it would...I guess you could check for it by checking the shot damage against the headshot damage value, or if it was greater than that.

Then how would you also add the headshot sound?
