Oh......My.....God

that was, by far, the BEST fps creator game I've ever played, lag or not.

-The level design was superb
-best use of stock I've ever seen
-great storyline
-large level ( I love how you actually went back to former rooms, but from a completely different perspective, like a catwalk above or something)
- lots of enemies with fair gunplay

my ONLY complaint would b the lag; however I do use a very slow computer so it's likely better on others

I EXTREMELY recommend this for BOTB, even though Beyond Life is already there this game is just as good, if not better.

Amazing work Wetham_

my taste in music isn't weird, its just so amazing your ears haven't quite adapted to it yet.

Hi folks,

Thanks for playing! I would never intentionally release a game that had a slow frame rate, so I’m a little concerned at your findings. For me, Automatic Update runs much smoother than Beyond Life, but I guess all our systems are unique.

Beachard5: It’s a question I’m asked often and requires a fair amount of explanation, I was going to write some sort of guide but then I heard a tutorial appears in the excellent Community Guide by Nickydude? Could be worth a shot first.

If it lags, try using S4Mod,its an excellent way to gain framerate along with other stuff, but if you got money, then go with the awesome Project Blue. Now this post looks like an ad.Cant wait to see more.

Yeah, FPSC is a very bizarre program. My computer can almost run Dead Space on the highest settings, but fpsc lags horridly.

As Djmaster said, use a source mod to speed it up.

Ywah Wetham ti probably wasn't fair for me to post lag issues, as I get them with most ALL fpsc games. similar to apple splicer I can play Crysis on Med setting with little no lag but fpsc struggles.

great game nonetheless, I really hope some1 recognizes it for BOTB, or edits it into the same post as beyond life.

I downloaded it now, played and I loved it.All those explosions kept me on my feet running around.I got killed on the part when those barrels come down from a shaft, and its one of the rare fpsc games ill go play again to uncover if I kill that guy at the end This must be in BOTB,otherwise ill complain heavily!

Excellent game. Really shows what you can do with that stock media.

I also liked how you've tied this into your previous game I won't say anything more

This was a great game. I see you have not given up on Beyond Life yet. I was also going to ask, could you take a look at this game. It's somewhat simaler to yours, and I thought you might have some advice as im relitively new to the Sci Fi genre.

I just finished it and it was amazing. But I didn't really understand the ending. BOTB worthy to me though.

Played this game and was great well done just as good as beyond life.

Is this like a follow up to beyond life ?

Did anyone have issues with walls being invisable in this game.

See attached screenshot, I seem to be getting this problem a lot with games made in v1.15.

@djmaster : This has been made in a newer version of fpsc because it has imageblock.bin file plus project blue v1.15 version runs with this game.

First of all thanks for your kind words, Automatic Update is the first of a 3 part series:

- Automatic Update
- Within Divinity
- Beyond life

If I EVER get spare time (ha!) i'll crack on with the sequel, but damn real life sucks!

This game ran better than Beyond Life, and is a great improvement to it to in all aspects. And the difficulty was better too!

I liked the hidden area where you could get the Ironode (I'm basing the name on the one given to it in Beyond Life)... all you had to do was go back into the elevator where you started from, and it'd take you down a floor to where it was!

That was a secret? Well, I found it the first time. I just went to the elevator for fun. The game was great!
