I've made a character, textured it and animated it in 3DS Max. Using the pandasoft plugin I exported to .x, with the right settings. I created all the files, put them in the right place and everything. I've made a weapon and gotten it working in-game so I know the export settings are correct. The characters (I've tried it with different characters I've made) appear in the editor, textured and everything. But when I test the game, they appear invisible. I know they're in-game because they have a round shadow and the health bar appears above them.

I expect this is a minor problem, simply something that I forgot to add to the model and animation or something like that. I'm using FPSC X10, but I've done a few searches and others have had the same problem with X9, which is what leads me to believe it's a problem with the model. Has anyone had this problem before or knows how to solve it? Thanks!

Yeah, I have them on by default and all the filepaths are correct. All the stock media works fine too

Comment out the shader? You mean modify it or make the character use no shader at all? Sorry, I'm a little unclear

I think I should mention that I have been able to get the character in-game before...just not as a character. It worked as a static and dynamic entity when I replaced the model file of one of the furniture entities. But when I replace the model file of one of the characters, that's when it's invisible. I've also tried re-sizing, using the scale command and everything I could think of.
Here's a picture of one of the characters I've made that has the same problem. This is how it looks when it's in-game as a dynamic furniture entity.

And here's the result I get when I try to simply swap the model of one of the existing character with mine (I've tried it with both using the correct animation frames and using the ones of the original character). As you can see there's a small round shadow and the health bar is visible. I get the same result in X9, but without the health bar. The character walks around and everything...
