As part of a new pack I am doing I developed a completely new pipeline for terrains and skybox. No matter where you are on the terrain it blends perfectly with the background.
Even when the terrain is full grid size anyone who has created outdoor scenes will know how small this really is and how everything can look bad when you get to the edges. This blends well even right at the edge of the terrain.
Thought I might throw this up as a quick preview.

Your screen shots look great.

It seems that you have tiles which are not just randomly placed, and need to be in order to achieve the rockline that creates the illusion.

So, are you making this as Prefabs of terrain since the tiles are unique and organized rather than the usual multiple instances?
