hello, i recently looked at redeye's animated menu script on this forum, and i wanted to ask this question there but it was locked... (sigh)

anyway, would it be possible to have a video on in the background of a menu? because i was kinda confused with the animated menu script, surely i can't be hard to tell the game to run a video instead of show a picture, and if you point me in the right direction, i'll try and script it myself!

Grab a Mod that contains AirMod (most of them do) then you can use an AirMod command to play a video on the background of your menu.

right, the problem with airmod is that i can only run it with ply's mod, and seeing as i'm not willing to pay for these things, and i won't be able to build game, it's petty musch useless, isn't it?

If you want a video on your menu, then a Mod is your only option (Unless you're fine with a VERY LARGE script that flashes a series of huds and plays a sound with them). I didn't say you had to go BUY one. Heck, go make your own for all I care. It's all the rage these days, look at all the fly little homies making their own Mods. Get out there and be hip and cool and all that stuff.

At the end of it all, he's have to buy darkbasic professional, darklights and all the stuff that's required to make the exe compile, and that'd come way over the price that you charge. So to be honest, its better off just buying it off you.

That's what Hockeykid and I ended up doing with the Nazi Zombies game; 132 individual frames for a 4 second background video Which doesn't make sense to me now, considering we have a mod

If I wanted to give you viruses, you'd have had them by now, regardless of if you bought something from me or not.


I refrain from using TGCS because they take a cut from your profit (That's what I've heard and have been told), and since I'm already getting a profit cut straight from paypal, that would only decrease the income even further.

Wait, don't most other mods like S4real's mod also use Airmod?
And isn't S4real's mod free for commercial use??
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I never actually beleived ply's mod has viruses, and i fully trust him/her to be a perfectly honest and talented modder.
i'll take a look at s4mod, i've never really heard of it.
