Hey guys, I have just recently started working with GIMP, Paint.net, MapZone, and project dogwaffle. I read tutorials and fiddled around with them, and started making some textures. I've decided to post my work here for download, so I can get feedback and make more textures. Feel free to request some ideas.
I started only a few days ago so please take it easy.
To start off, here's a simple texture that I spent about 10 minutes on, and it's not the best but for a first I'm proud of it.
These textures are all seamless.
See attached.

Hm... nobody interested?
I spent hours doing it today, and I made a few more of them. Some... I don't even know what they are - I simply played with the settings in GIMP.
Here's a circuit board like, tech texture, this time bigger, in a 512 x 512 resolution.

I also made three variations of a lava like texture, though they are based on the same idea, the details are quite different.
Here's the standard, red one attached. I think it looks pretty good.

Here's the blue-ish variation of the lava texture.

A dark blue variation, still based on the whole lava idea...

Here's a design, I don't exactly know how to describe it, but it happened when I happened to edge a random cloud texture. It turns out to look like a bunch of red and blue eels together. It doesn't look that bad though.

Hi Adriano jones not bad, but i want to give you a tip.

look for tutorials on the internet.
especially the ones how to work with Layers..

With layers you get a more realistic effect. and it is fun working.
also get some free brushes from internet.

I am working with photoshop and learned everything i know from free tutorials on internet. ( in 2 hours you can learn alot)

Hope this help a little.

Example, made with layers.

Alright, I made these beforehand but didn't post them up. Here's a pack of textures, all based on the same format but I colorized them with different hues. Here's a screen of the pack, download in next post.
