hallo i'm Twan and i'm from the netherlands.
i'm very interested in making games, but i don't know that much about it. a friend of mine recomented this forum to lean more about making games. i want to know wich programm i can use to make 3-d or 2-d characters andanimate them

TrueSPace is free for a while longer (before it's taken off the web for good).

i Use this Tools
-Milkshape (25 $) to assing the Material and Textures Link
-3ds max (very expensive) to Model my meshe´s Link
-Fragmotion (you can yuse free version) To animate my Weapons Link

For textures
-Paint.net (free) To make textures Link
-Light Unwrap (free) To make UVW Maps Link
Free Textures on Link

all 3d modeling softwares are good. the best one is the one you find the simplest to use once you have found it stick with it & learn as much as you can (it takes a lot of time so dont try to run before you can walk )

maxiqueen123 / why use Milkshape & Fragmotion if you have max it can do all you said ?

I actually think AC3D thats advertised on this site is the most easiest one to use for modelling. I use it for modelling and 3dCanvaspro for animating *though it is buggy* >.<
