Hi all, early today I managed to get the FPSC 'Bump' shader working on my Windows XP computer. However when I used the exact same map and the exact same copy of FPSC (X9) exact same settings, on my Vista laptop the shader didn't come up. If anyone knows why then please tell me I’m not sure what my WindowsXP graphics card is but I’m sure that it isn't as good as my Vista Graphics card which is a Nvidia GeForce 9500m.

Please help me.
Thanks.

Sorry about being such a noob about this but with solving my last problem I found another. I found that the Bump map only reacted with dynamic lights and if there is even one static light somewhere in the level then the bump map doesn't work how it should. I am wondering if anyone has come up against the same problem or can help me.

Please reply back.

It's a basic problem with FPSC's lighting system, it can't be fixed, sorry mate...

Also you should update to FPSC 1.09 to fix more problems.

Well, I'd recommend V1.15, because then you could get Project Blue, that includes Ply's Mod which removes shader bugs on weaponry. Sadly, the bump shader breaks horribly in that mod, but it never really worked anyway...

I was using V1.04 then I used the V1.15 with blue mod and there was no difference. Sorry for the confusion.

Right now if you really want a game with shaders, you will put more time into debugging the shaders than into gameplay and level design.
