Hi, this doesnt works for me:

It's like my scan codes are not working or something, the flashlight script doesntwork for me, the helm script also doesnt, I tried cleaneaing it and ended up with this, but still, not working, should this be toggling on/off a small hud image ?

Regards

Your problem is in the second line of code:

You are showing the hud named "helm", but you actually named it "flash" in the first line. Change "helm" to "flash" and that should work.

hudimagefine=gamecore/huds/flashlight/1.tag

Shouldn't the file extension be TGA not TAG?

What version you using? I believe scancodekeypressed wasnt introduced until 1.03 or 1.04. This may be your problem.

hudimagefine=gamecore/huds/flashlight/1.tga

Even though the script has the path from the gamecore, that is really from the gamecore in the languagebank/english folder.
(the script defaults there in the langaugebank/english folder so you don't need to specify it in the path)

So, leave the path for the image in the script alone but make sure the image is in the right place...

languagebank/english/gamecore/huds/flashlight/1.tga

Actually, if the path can be found in the files folder, then it will go there. For example, if you do
It will load the colt45 crosshair, I have tested this.

Where are you putting the script?

This works for me. I tested it.

Just a question, did the hud come up as would the default crosshair, or was it transparent in a black box. I've been having this prob.

So the problem is either hud location or script placement.

Hi, I got back to this, well script placement is in the script bank, then it's the main of a light marker, hud placement is in gamecore folder, not in language bank, I'm gonna try it out right now in language bank folder

finally, it works!! thank you very much...but... I'm not happy, my fps dropped so much (theyre now around 24/25), that the reload sound of wepon model pack 10, for instance lets say, shotgun reload sound, actually finishes a lot sooner (although started at the same time) then the animation of the guy putting the sheels in the shotgun and pulling the dog.

How do I improve the fps's ??? Why is this so ? Any work around, the gameplay sucks this way, player moves and shots kind of slow
