Racer445 has been hard at work to present not just you guys but pretty much the howl world(Excluding facepunch and FPSBanana) how to create a weapon from geometry to skin in atleast 7 hours...
Quote: "
I finally got around to uploading this. It's a pretty large download but contains around 7 hours of footage. This tutorial covers the complete creation of a modern weapon from start to finish. Everything is covered here including subd modeling, low poly creation, uving, baking, and texturing.

The sound isn't great but it will do.

I hope you enjoy!

Stuff I used:
3DS Max
Photoshop
8monkey toolbag
xNormal PS Plugins"

PS. I have permission to post this, as he clearly said on the first post of the last page, excluding FacePunch and FPSBanana...

Looks great! Is it 7 hours of video that make up the 2.9 GB download? It seems a bit excessive...

Maybe break it down into youtube videos, or maybe just individual images...

Otherwise, sounds great. I would love to check out the tut if it weren't for the size.

I disagree... both sound and video are in High Quality, probably higher than 1280x1024! Which is pretty much the most common screen size out there at the time being.

Also the torrent is being seeded by at-least more than 20 people, so to download the torrent would most certainly be quicker than to download it Piece by Piece..... Yet another wonderful thing that I particularly love torrents for...

Quote: "Maybe break it down into youtube videos, or maybe just individual images..."

That'd be approximately over 20 videos in my opinion...

But Racer445 also stated in the thread that:
Quote: "I'll be slowly putting them all up, but vimeo only allows 1 HD video per week with a free account."
...

So pretty much watch this space if your not in a rush to see them...

Viewing it? Any chance of going deeper into what you've said...

Is it that the *.Avi files are corrupted? Or something familiar?
Also any problems than I suggest that you Clearly tell me what the problem is with detailed answers, and I'll ask racer445 about them.

Other than that...

Guys, do read the first post... Racer445(A polycount member) created this, not myself... -_- lol.

What media player exactly are you using? Windows media Player? Win-Amp? VLC? etc...

Damn right you mean racer445 >: D

*.Rar or torrent? which one? Also I take it your having the same problem that Asteric is currently having, have you also tried a 2nd download? And did you use any type of stupid download accelerating software? D:

Ahh, I don't exactly though what you mean, but do you have a default Bit-Torrent software? Is it also set to default, also what browser are you using? If you have Opera 10 beta than it'll detect your default torrent app and also use that to download the torrent...

.RAR No; I didn't try to use any "stupid" download accelerator. It took several hours to download them, so it might be awhile before I attempt it again.

Try and check all the files there, see if they all work(100%) and see what ones don't work...

Oh and also what media player?

EDIT:
Added 2nd mirror to the official post...

Just so you know, the render was made in the 8monkey Marmoset Toolbag... It's actualy a game engine image infact... it's all 100% real-time...

Just dropping in to say hi. Hopefully the beginners on this forum can learn something from this as well. Please note however that this tutorial is intended for people who can already fluently model.

To anyone still having trouble downloading this, you must download ALL of the parts in order to watch it, or use the alternate download folder which offers it packed with one video per rar file.

Thanks for the support, everyone.

PS: Matuka, I played CS:S with you like twice. Stop saying that you know me.
